Diaz: 'I Miss Out On Roles Over Fear Of Commitment

Cameron Diaz misses out on roles in big movies because she fears commitment.

The Charlie's Angels star hates making long-term plans and believes her problems stem from always getting her own way as a child.

She says, "There are a lot of great roles out there but you know my problem?

I'm really bad at commitment.

"I just hate committing myself to anything. I'm terrible at making plans. I have no idea where I want to be. It's probably comes from me being a total spoiled brat and always getting my own way."

And the star admits she can't even invest her time in a pet: "I don't even want a dog. My cat just died and I don't want another cat. Oh god, I've just opened another friggin' can of worms."

Yesterday Diaz was forced to apologise for a bag faux-pas - Cameron Diaz has issued an apology after 'insulting' locals on a visit to Peru by carrying a bag emblazoned with a communist slogan.

The Shrek actress was visiting the Inca city of Machu Picchu on Friday (22Jun07) using an olive green bag with a red star and the words "Serve the People" written in Chinese. The message was seen by many as a reference to Chinese Communist leader Mao Zedong. Zedong's Maoist Shining Path insurgency fought the Peruvian government in the 1980s and early 1990s, killing almost 70,000 people.

Human rights activists described the actress' bag as "inappropriate", however Diaz has now apologised for her ignorance.

She says, "I sincerely apologise to anyone I may have inadvertently offended.

The bag was a purchase I made as a tourist in China and I did not realise the potentially hurtful nature of the slogan printed on it.

"I'm sorry for any people's pain and suffering and it was certainly never my intention to reopen what I now know is a painful wound in this country's history."

Scarlett, 22, dated actor Josh Hartnett for two years and had a relationship with actor-turned-musician Jared Leto in 2004. The screen beauty has recently been romantically linked to 'Van Wilder' actor Ryan Reynolds, who was previously engaged to Alanis Morissette.

Incarcerated Paris Hilton will give her first live interview following her release from prison on Tuesday (26June07) to talk show host Larry King.

The socialite will appear on Cnn show Larry King Live to give a one hour talk on her experiences in prison.

And the hotel heiress is thrilled she will be giving the interview to the award-winning American broadcaster.

She says, "I am thrilled that Larry King has asked me to appear on his programme to discuss my experience in jail, what I have learned, how I have grown and anything else he wants to talk about. Larry King is not only a world-renown journalist, but a true American icon. It will be an honour to do his show."

The socialite was sentenced to 45 days in prison last month (May07) after being found guilty of violating her probation from a drink driving arrest last year (06).

She will be released early next week - with the term taking into account 22 days of credit for good behaviour.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputy Dana Camarillo says, "As a result of numerous inquiries, it has come to our attention that clarification is necessary regarding the actual release date of Paris Hilton

"In the case of Ms. Hilton, records specialists from the Inmate Reception Center have calculated her actual release date to be Tuesday, June 26, 2007."
