Glum: Posh could barely muster a smile after performing in Canada last night

Perhaps she could see the pound signs dropping away as she sang.

Or it could have been the rumours of backstage tensions which are being blamed for the Spice Girls scrapping the rest of their world tour.

Either way Victoria Beckham looked particularly glum as the band took to the stage in Canada last weekend in their first concert since announcing their upcoming split.

While Baby, Ginger, Sporty and Scary pranced and preened on stage with abandon, Posh Spice scowled more than usual and struggled to crack a smile even at the curtain call.

It could have been her feet which were causing her such misery - for squeezed into a skyscraper pair of strappy sandals, her painful bunions were clearly on display.

The condition is caused by wearing ill-fitting shoes - and Mrs Beckham last year admitted her love of stilettos had given her “disgusting” feet.

She said before moving to LA: “I hate my feet. They are the most disgusting thing about me.

“Part of the reason I wear such amazing shoes is to take the eye away from my horrid feet and onto the stunning shoes.”

Victoria Beckham's special show

Victoria Beckham's US reality TV series has been cut to a one-off special show, it has been reported.

The former Spice Girl had signed a six-show deal with US broadcasters NBC to document her move from Madrid to Los Angeles.

However, the network reportedly decided there isn't enough footage to warrant a full series and now plan to broadcast an hour-long programme.

It has been reported filming ran into problems when Victoria's soccer star husband David Beckham was recalled to play for England last month.

NBC's vice president Craig Plestis says the show will give "a first hand glimpse into what is likely to be one of the most sought-after celebrities in the world".

If the show proves a ratings success, it is believed it could lead to further special episodes or a series.

Victoria and David decided to move to the US after the soccer ace agreed a multi-million pound deal with the Los Angeles Galaxy.
