When Hollywood star Halle Berry unveiled her post-baby body at a gala six weeks after giving birth, it appeared she had followed the path of most celebrity mothers by dropping her baby weight overnight.
But it seems that the Oscar-winning actress is, like many mothers, taking the pace rather more gently, as she was seen yesterday in a skimpy T-shirt dress which revealed she still has her post-baby tummy.
Unlike most celebrities who won't be seen in public with even an ounce of post-baby podge, after almost two months out of the limelight with new baby Nahla, down to earth Halle was happily seen shopping at shoe store Diavolina.
Clearly Halle is non-plussed by not yet shedding all her baby weight, as she made no attempt to cover up or hide away her figure.
The 41-year-old actress still looks amazing, as witnessed by her turn on the red carpet at a charity gala earlier this week in Los Angeles.
The difference is fairly stark, but no doubt the actress who is known for her stunning red carpet has laid her hands on a pair of tummy reducing Spanx control pants which ensured she looked suitably svelte.
Dressed in a plunging empire-line leopard print minidress, the actress made the most of a happy side-effect of early motherhood - a boosted bust line.
Halle stepped out again the day after the gala to host the Halle Berry Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament.
Although the actress didn't golf, she was seen at the event, which was held at L.A.'s Mountain Gate Country Club, posing for pictures with participants, which included Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle and model boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, 32.
Halle and Gabriel welcomed their baby Nahla Ariela on March 16. Nahla means 'honey bee' in Arabic.
Nahla arrived with her father, and was sequestered with a nanny in a trailer the actress had parked near the course.
And the new parents left early, just as the party was getting into full swing, according to People magazine Halle told the assembled golfers: "I'm going to have to leave.
"My baby is calling for my breast. So, if I don't see everyone later, thank you!".
