Lindsay Lohan reportedly verbally abused Ashley Olsen after she spoke to her close friend Samantha Ronson.

The 'Mean Girls' actress - who is rumoured to be drinking again following her stint in rehab last year - was said to be furious when the former 'Full House' star chatted to DJ Samantha at New York nightspot Beatrice Inn on Friday (18.04.08).

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Samantha was getting a lot of attention which Lindsay didn't like. Ashley Olsen said hello to Samantha at the Beatrice, and Lindsay screamed at her, 'Get your 15-year-old 'Full House' a** away from my girlfriend.' "

She allegedly wrote late one night: "Babe, if I don't have you in my life then I should just go die. I want to marry you and have children with you. Go to bed babe. I love you. Lindsay Ronson."

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan will carry out an "extended programme" in rehab - but will not spend her 21st birthday in the facility, according to her mother Dina.

The Mean Girls actress was charged with a driving under the influence after crashing her car in Beverly Hills, California last month (May07), and checked into rehab facility Promises shortly afterwards.

Dina Lohan claims her daughter is "doing great" and will stay at the facility to complete an extended care programme, which is designed to "make the transition from residential alcohol or drug rehab treatment back into their community".

She says, "I talk to her every day."

She reveals Lohan will not spend her landmark birthday in rehab following the cancellation of her Las Vegas party earlier this month (Jun07), but will celebrate it with her family out of the facility.

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly set to extend her stay in rehab.

The troubled actress - currently in residence at Malibu's Promises rehab centre - has decided to stay until she has fully recovered.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "She is staying in Promises for longer than a month. We don't know how much longer because of her work schedule, but she is taking rehab very seriously this time and not messing around."

The 'Mean Girls' actress was initially set to leave Promises - which normally lets clients stay for a month - at the end of this week.

On Monday (18.06.07), Lindsay cancelled her 21st birthday party at Las Vegas' PURE nightclub.

PURE representative Kate Turner said: "We support Lindsay and wish her the best as she is taking care of personal matters at this time.

"Due to the unique circumstances Lindsay's birthday party at PURE Nightclub has been cancelled. We think the world of her and look forward to working with her in the future."

Lindsay, 20, entered rehab for the second time this year following her arrest for DUI (driving under the influence) last month.

Police found a "usable amount" of cocaine in the vehicle Lindsay has been driving.

The bosses of Las Vegas club Pure have agreed to halt plans to celebrate Lindsay Lohan's upcoming 21st birthday without the actress.

Lohan called off plans for a two-day 2 July (07) bash at Pure shortly after checking into rehab last month (May07) - but club bosses reserved the right to keep advertising the celebration, so that fans could toast the troubled Mean Girls star.

Confirming the party had been cancelled, Lohan's spokesperson released a statement on Monday (18Jun07), in which she said, "The party was cancelled officially over two weeks ago. We were confused why Pure was even still promoting it."

Pure spokeswoman Kate Turner says, "Due to the unique circumstances, Lindsay's birthday party at Pure Nightclub has been cancelled.

"We think the world of her and look forward to working with her in the future. We support Lindsay and wish her the best as she is taking care of personal matters at this time."

The Mean Girls actress lost control of her Mercedes convertible at around 5.30am on Saturday, hitting a curb and trees, and was taken to Century City Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.

She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (Dui) after police found a "usable amount of illegal narcotics", thought to be cocaine, at the scene of the crash.

Lohan had been out with friends including Paris Hilton and singer James Blunt at club Les Deux prior to the accident.

Reports suggest the 20-year-old was embroiled in a bitter exchange of words with Ronson, the younger sister of producer/Dj Mark Ronson, when she smashed her car into a palm tree.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "She was trying to talk to Sam - they were screaming, obviously arguing, and Lindsay was heard to shout, 'You f**king lesbian bitch'.

"Lindsay drove her Merc over to Samantha and told her to get in, but Sam said no.
