Singer/actress Miley Cyrus has been banned by her parents from hanging out with Lindsay Lohan, because they fear she's a bad influence.

The pair met at the Academy Awards on Sunday (24Feb08), and former teen starlet Lohan offered the Hannah Montana star her number.

But American tabloid the National Enquirer claims Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus forced the 15-year-old to delete it, fearing 21-year-old Lohan - who spent time in rehab last year (07) for alcohol abuse - sets a bad example.

Britney Spears' paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib has stunned his friends by insisting the singer is expecting his baby.

Pals of the British-born photographer claim he targetted Spears in a bid to make her pregnant, and is bragging that he has succeeded.

The claims appear in the current edition of U.S. magazine Star, alongside pictures of Spears with what appears to be a bulging tummy.

The former The O.C. star was partying with family and friends when director Doug Liman texted her to see if she wanted to appear opposite Hayden Christensen, her reported new boyfriend, in the film.

She says, "I was at my cousin's wedding in Tennessee and I got a text message. I guess it's the new way to cast someone in a movie - the director just text messages you. It's not bad, I wouldn't mind if it happened more often.

The Foundations star spoke about the troubled singer at the Elle Style Awards in London last night (12Feb08), where she hailed Winehouse a legend.

Winehouse scooped five awards at Sunday's (10Feb08) ceremony and, after a string of American Visa problems, performed via satellite link-up from her native London.

The 26-year-old actress revealed her handsome co-star knew exactly what he was doing when they locked lips in love scenes for new sci-fi thriller 'Jumper'.

Hayden returned the compliment, saying: "Rachel is top notch too, we kiss well."

Although Rachel enjoyed the kissing, she admits she still struggles when it comes to shooting sex scenes.

The former 'O.C.' star added to BANG Showbiz: "Sex scenes and love scenes are always uncomfortable just because it's so unnatural and it's usually forced.

"I was lucky enough to have someone as handsome as Hayden, but it's always a bit awkward."

Selma Blair is on a strict diet after gaining 20 pounds while shooting her new movie.

The actress, who filmed 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army' in Hungary, resorted to eating comfort food to combat the cold weather and ended up looking like a "puffer fish".

She said: "I really binged on food in Budapest. It was so cold and we were shooting nights. The director says that in one half of the film I look boney and in the other half like a puffer fish. It's the most unprofessional thing I have ever done on a movie.

"So I gained 20 pounds and now I have to work out - and diet!"

Selma also insists she is proud of her "quirky" movie roles and has no desire to star in romantic comedies.

She said: "I get cast in character roles because I don't look like a leading lady. Maybe in Europe I'd be like Samantha Morton or Charlotte Gainsbourg. But I didn't choose my quirky career - it chose me.

"I don't have the face to constantly radiate leading lady energy. There is only one Reese Witherspoon and there is only one Julia Roberts. I don't fit into that mould. And do you know what else? I don't want to."

Britney back to her old tricks after hospital release

Wearing torn fishnet tights and exposing her underwear, it seems a spell in a psychiatric hospital has done little to change Britney Spears' chaotic lifestyle - or her dress sense.

The troubled star, who checked herself out of the UCLA Medical Centre earlier this week, was spotted taking a cigarette break at the Millennium dance studio in Hollywood.

Looking bedraggled, the bra-less 26-year-old skipped out of rehearsals to smoke and adjust her torn fishnets in full view of waiting photographers.



The former pop princess is currently under the watchful eye of her father Jamie, who has taken charge of his daughter's estimated £20 million estate and personal affairs since she was committed to hospital over a week ago.

Both he and Miss Spears' mother Lynne, are said to be upset their daughter was released from hospital 11 days early after her lawyers overruled doctors' advice.

In a joint statement the pair said: "We are deeply concerned about our daughter's safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk."

Both parents, who are divorced, strongly disapprove of her relationship with Birmingham-born photographer Adnan Ghalib.


Miss Spear's recent hospital stay is the latest incident in a series of public meltdowns for the star.

Five weeks ago the Toxic star was stretched into an ambulance after refusing to hand over her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline following a three-hour stand-off with police.

The incident resulted in a hospital stay - and the loss of custody of sons Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one.

Then on 28 January her family, with the agreement of record company executives, called in police and an ambulance to re-admit the singer for psychiatric evaluation.

The decision followed numerous displays of erratic and bizarre behaviour by the star which included crying barefoot outside her home.

A restraining order against her former manager Sam Lufti is also in place, alleging that he drugged the star and took over her finances.

Lynne Spears made the declaration in court alleging that Lufti drugged her daughter and cut her phone wires in order to manipulate her.

Britney is said to be desperate to regain control of her estate and finances and is seeking to have a court order granting her father conservatorship overturned. She is battling to regain custody of her sons.

She is the hero of little girls and wanna-be WAGS across the country, and now Posh Spice is dressing to match her supergirl status.

The star resembled a caped crusader as she swooped around the trendiest places in New York on Thursday wrapped up in the cream cover.

Finishing off her black dress, heels and over-sized sunglasses ensemble the cape ensured she was the best-dressed super-hero in town.


There are now rumblings among the fashion pack that capes are the new must-have as Kylie Minogue was also spotted wearing the garment this week.

With much-photographed Victoria Beckham and the UK's favourite popstar wearing it, the cape is sure to take off.

Christina says her new baby Max is 'incredible'

New mother Christina Aguilera has unveiled her slimmed-down post-baby body just three weeks after giving birth to her son Max.

The pop star made her first public appearance since welcoming her first child to promote the release of her new DVD set Back to Basics: Live and Down Under in LA yesterday.

It appears she welcomed the change of scenery, with the star admitting: "I'm so going stir-crazy in the house."


In a radio interview prior to the appearance, she gushed about her "incredible" son and said she is already inspired to write a new album.

"This whole incredible thing that's taken part in my life, between the pregnancy and the birth, I've got so much to be inspired about and so much in my life to write about.

"I've been brain-storming for the last nine months, actually. This next album will have a whole new me, so there's a lot to look forward to."


The 27-year-old says she and husband Jordan Bratman reveling in parenthood: "It's still the first couple of weeks, every week something new happens.

"It's constant changing and he's constantly changing and doing these incredibly cute things - and stinky things."

The singer was also asked how she felt about Paris Hilton announcing her pregnancy to the world before Christina herself had confirmed it.


Paris made the comment while addressing a crowd at a Hollywood club, which left Christina and her friends looking rather shocked.

Christina says now: "Paris did kind of jump the gun a little on it, so she became the official announcer at a club appearance.

"It was funny. I laughed about it. I was a group of friends ad we all looked at each other a little surprised but we laughed it off.

"It was actually cute, she did it in a very sweet way so it wasn't in a kind of tattle-on-you kind of thing."

Eva Mendes: Has been in rehab for several

Actress Eva Mendes has checked into a rehabilitation clinic.


The star reportedly checked into Utah's Cirque Lodge and has been in the facility, which deals with substance-abuse problems, for several weeks.

The Cirque Lodge is the same facility in which fellow Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan was treated last year.

Her management have confirmed the glamorous star, who has been applauded for her clean-living and healthy body attitude, has been at Cirque Lodge Rehab for several weeks.

Her representative released a statement saying: "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to pro-actively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support.

"Out of respect for Eva's privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details."

The 33-year-old star of We Own the Night has just been named the new face of Calvin Klein and a stint in the favoured rehab centre of Lindsay Lohan is not likely do her career any favours.

Eva, who has also starred in films such as Hitch with Will Smith and Training Day with Denzel Washington, is a former face of cosmetics giant Revlon.

Her management have not revealed how long she will be receiving treatment for in Utah.

Angelina Jolie kept her 'baby bump' well covered as she hit the red carpet over the weekend in yet another loose-fitting ensemble.

Speculation the star is expecting not one but two babies continues to run rife.

A friend told American magazine In Touch: "They run in the Pitt family - his sister, Julie, has twin girls."


Another source told Star magazine: "Brad and Angelina are absolutely ecstatic.

"But I still think there will be more adoptions to come."

The actress, who already has three adopted children and one biological child with Pitt, was honored for her role in the film A Mighty Heart at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.

Pregnancy whispers started last month when Angelina, 32, turned up to the Critics' Choice awards and looked like she had gained some much-needed weight.

The rumour mill went into overdrive when the actress wore a billowing gown to last week's SAG Awards in Los Angeles.

While the couple's spokesperson has so far refused to comment, they have not hidden their desire to have more children. When Angelina was asked how many she'd like to have, she responded: "Hmm, it fluctuates between seven and 13 or 14. Four is kind of kicking our ass, but we kind of feel like, damn it, we're up for the challenge!"

It could have been her feet which were causing her such misery - for squeezed into a skyscraper pair of strappy sandals, her painful bunions were clearly on display.

The condition is caused by wearing ill-fitting shoes - and Mrs Beckham last year admitted her love of stilettos had given her “disgusting” feet.

She said before moving to LA: “I hate my feet. They are the most disgusting thing about me.

“Part of the reason I wear such amazing shoes is to take the eye away from my horrid feet and onto the stunning shoes.”

There have been a total of four restraining orders for Sam Lufti against him and if Britney’s family has anything to do with it, this number can just keep on rising to five or more.
At UCLA as we had already mentioned before that Britney’s father Jamie and Sam already got into a screaming match. Sam Lufti from nowhere wants complete control of whatever medical treatment should be done to Britney and Britney’s family wants him to just go. Her family has also instructed the legal team of Britney not to talk to Sam Lufti.
Sam is starting to really remind me of Howard K. Stern. It's creepy how he's becoming obsessed with her.
