Jolie and Pitt wedding never happened

Bet Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s publicists wish they got a pay rise every time the rumor of the star couple’s marriage did the rounds.

Hollywood’s hottest couple married again this weekend — not. But this time their publicist deferred the knockdown of rumors of a wedding in a New Orleans wedding chapel to the chapel’s clergyman.

“Brad and Angelina did not get married by us,” the Rev. Tony Talavera, owner of the French Quarter Wedding chapel, told magazine Life & Style Weekly a day after the rumored Saturday wedding.

Talavera said he normally did not reveal who he did or did not marry at his wedding center just 14 blocks from the Jolie-Pitt home but he went public this time after Pitt’s people called him and asked him to “quash any misinformation that’s out there.”

“I have not met them personally,” said Talavera. ”This just got out of control. Their publicist asked me to give out a statement.”

But Talavera said he’d be happy to do the job for Pitt and Jolie if they ever do finally decide to rid themselves of the rumors and take the plunge.

“We extend the invitation. We’re glad they are neighbors,” he said.

The 'Tomb Raider' star took Pax Thien, three, and Maddox, five, to Marineland in Antibes, while in France for the Cannes Film Festival.

But while Pax jumped at the opportunity, Maddox stayed behind a wall as his mother and younger brother fed fish to the ocean predators.

The trip came just days before Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt celebrated their daughter Shiloh's first birthday.

Shiloh, her brothers and two-year-old adopted sister Zahara were treated to cookies and cake and were allowed to play with over 50 different coloured balloons.

The celebration took place in Prague, where Angelina is currently filming new thriller 'Wanted'.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Angelina and Brad are planning to marry in a lavish secret ceremony later this year.

The actress - who has been married twice before - is said to have secretly accepted Brad's marriage proposal, and is now organising a ceremony which will dwarf the actor's 2000 $1 million wedding to Jennifer Aniston.

A source told Grazia magazine: "Angelina has been reluctant to get married for a third time, for obvious reasons.

"Brad has been persistent and has now given in, but she wants the day to be really memorable. While she doesn't want it to be unnecessarily lavish, that's not her style, it will still be an event Hollywood will never forget.

"She also wants their children to see it as a huge celebration of her and Brad's love for them. The daytime part of the celebration will be for the kids, with clowns and balloons and fire-eaters. But then the real party will begin in the evening."

Angelina - who has three adopted children, Maddox, five, Pax Thien, three and Zahara, two, and a biological daughter with Brad, one-year-old Shiloh - is to start looking at dates and venues in the autumn.

While Brad and Jennifer served lobster at their nuptials seven years ago, Angelina is said to be keen on hiring a celebrity chef to specially create a dish for the event.
